If you use the online or web browser version of any Office 365 application(Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Planner, Microsoft Teams, etc.), you do not need to worry about the program version because these applications update automatically.
However, if you use the desktop version of an Office 365 application, then you may need to ensure you have the latest version installed on your device.
