By the end of January 2026, all users will see a change to the KIT Academy user interface. This means that the look and feel of the user’s dashboard will be different. The changes are intended to make the user experience more intuitive, but some users may need help orienting themselves after the changes occur.
The changes are highlighted below. Please note that there is a section for users with “learner” accounts and users with “manager” accounts.
If you need further help, please submit a ticket to KIT Academy Tech Support.
Changes for Learners
Home Page
Figure 1. Current Dashboard page
Figure 2. New Home page
When learners log in, they will land on their Home page instead of their Dashboard. They will see courses in progress and, if they scroll down, they will see courses they are enrolled in but haven’t started.
My Learning Page
Figure 3. New My Learning page
Using the navigation bar at the top, learners can navigate to a new page called the My learning page where they can see all the courses they are enrolled in, regardless of status (completed, in progress, not started, etc.).
Learners can use the Status drop down to filter by status. This is the only place learners can view their completed courses. Please note that “Completed” is for ungraded courses and “Passed” and “Failed” are for graded courses.
On the My learning page, learners can download their training history using the Download training history button in the top right.
Course Details
Figure 4. Current Course Details page
Figure 5. New Course Details page
If a learner selects a not started or completed course, they will see the course details including the length, description, objectives, and a list of the modules.
If they have completed and passed the course, they can select the Download certificate button near the top to download a copy of the certificate. They can also relaunch the course, share their certificate to LinkedIn, or message the course instructor.
Top Navigation
Using the navigation bar at the top, learners can navigate to Home, My Learning, the Catalog to browse and enroll in courses, Resources to access downloadable resources, and Forum if the learner has taken a course utilizing a forum.
The Catalog, Resources, and Forum pages remain largely unchanged. However, when you select a course from the Catalog, the course details page looks the same as described above.
Course Navigation

Figure 7. New course navigation
When a learner starts a course, the navigation elements are slightly different. The Next module button will be on the bottom right instead of the top, and the look and feel will be a bit different.
The top navigation bar will not appear inside a course. Learners will need to select Exit in the top left corner to return to other pages in KIT Academy.
Changes for Managers
Figure 8. Current manager dashboard view
Figure 9. New manager dashboard view
When managers log in to KIT Academy, their dashboard looks largely the same, however they will see that the top navigation options where the toggle between Manager Dashboard and My Courses is gone. The options to view the Catalog, Resources, and Forum are also missing from the left-hand navigation.
In order to view the Catalog, Resources, and their own enrolled courses, the manager will need to:
- Select the roundel with their initials in the top right corner.
- Select Switch to learner.
After they select that button, they will see the same dashboard and changes as described above in the “Changes for Learners” section.
To return to the manager dashboard view, managers will:
- Select the roundel with their initials.
- Select Switch to manager.
